An Emissions Inventory is a database that lists, by source, air pollutants discharged into the atmosphere of a community / organization / process during a given time period. The Emissions Inventory aims to focus on regulated pollutants as noted under the Listed Activities and Minimum Emission Standards identified in terms of Section 21 and 23 of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act, 2004 (Act No. 39 of 2004). A combined approach of site observations, data collection, review and evaluation of existing data was adopted in order to develop the required emissions inventory. The information is utilized through the observations and inspections of all production areas with a view to identifying potential fugitive emissions.
