Facilities Audits (Kitchens, Canteens, Change Rooms and Ablutions)

The assessment method is based on a carefully constructed auditing plan which contains the following essential components:

  • questioning of safety representatives and employees on the condition of facilities e.g. change rooms, canteens, toilets and locker rooms.
  • using observations and visual inspections to audit the adequacy and provision of facilities;
  • comparing all provisions to the requirements of the Facilities Regulations (GNR 1045 of 2004).   

To be conducted as per the requirements of the Facilities Regulations, 2004. This assessment is undertaken with a view to improve existing food and employee hygiene practices and assist with the requirements of GNR 918, The Government Regulations Governing General Hygiene Requirements for Food Premises (30th July 1999).
