Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Inspection Survey

The purpose of the LDAR Inspection Survey is to determine any potential leaks from any operational / process equipment, pipe work, storage tanks and vessels. This assessment is adapted from the United States Environmental Protection Agency – Method 21. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Methods are utilised as the methodological approach for this assessment. The sources to be tested include, but are not limited to, valves, flanges and other connections, pumps and compressors, pressure relief devices, process drains, open-ended valves, pump seals. Visual inspections were conducted and where potential leaks were noted, supplementary detection methods such as the soap bubble test was utilised. Secondary measurements were then conducted utilising a calibrated portable Photoionization Detector (PID) unit.
